Definition, Implementation Time and Aqiqah

Aqiqah is slaughtering animals for their baby's birth. Implementation aqiqah usually performed when the baby is seven days old, with a shaved head and gave the name as a sign of gratitude to Allah.


Requirements for aqiqah goats are animals that for qurban. Animals can aqiqah camel, cow or buffalo but the best is goat or sheep. Number aqiqah that boy two goats, a goat for women. In accordance with the words of the Apostle of Allah:

"Boys aqiqahnya two goats and a goat girl" (Reported by Ahmad and Abu Dawud)




The timing and method of implementation aqiqah:
1. The seventh day of the birth of a baby
2. Baby hair cut first and then animals slaughtered aqiqah
3. Implementation aqiqah after sunrise
4. Babies are named with a good name
5. Meat aqiqah better given or wherewithal in conditions ripe
Penyembelihannya way similar to slaughter qurban to read the prayer:
"Allahumma Minka Bismillahi wailaika wahaadzihi 'aqiqatu fulaanin"


Means "by the name of 'God aqiqah ........ (call name) from you and get back to you".


Aqiqah legal sunnah hadith by the prophet:

"From Samurah, that the Messenger of Allah. Has said," Every child is born with aqiqahnya spout. Aqiqahnya slaughtered on the seventh day, he shaved and given the name "(Ahmad).
