DEFINITION OF NISAB
nisab is the line between what is obligatory zakat wealth or not. If the assets of a person has reached the nisab, then such property shall zakat. If you have not reached the nisab, it is not obligatory zakat.
Limitation nisab itself between a single source of charity and other charity sources differ from each other. Agricultural zakat nisab equal to 5 wasaq (653 kg of rice), zakat nisab of gold 20 dinars (85 grams), zakat nisab of silver 200 dirhams (595 grams), zakat nisab trades 20 dinars (85 grams gold), and so on.
According jumhur scholars, nisab is one of the requirements mandatory zakat wealth. According to the hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari from Abu Said, the Prophet said, "Do not obligatory zakat on palm plants less than 5 ausaq. Not mandatory zakat of silver less than 5 awaq, not obligatory Zakat on less than five camels tail."
In addition, he also said, "Zakat is only levied on the rich" (Reported by Bukhari). Nisab is also a limitation of the rich and the poor are mandatory zakat is not obligatory zakat.
Zakat recipients are set out in 8 groups or asnaf, the needy, the poor, amyl, converts, slaves, gharimin (those who were in debt), fisabilillah (people who fight in Allah's way), ibn sabil (people who run out of stock on the move ) as mentioned in At Tawbah: 60.
Giving alms may be done in a way is divided into several people, as long as the person is entered into the class of the recipient charity.
